5 – Do I sit for all 4 parts on the same day?
No, your IELTS exam is on 2 different days. The Speaking exam is on one day. The other 3 parts are on a different day. You get both dates from the center where you registered.
6 – Do I have to be very smart to do well on the IELTS?
The IELTS does not test how smart you are. IELTS is a test of your English only.
7 – How is the IELTS scored?
The IELTS exam has 4 parts. You get a score for each part. Scores are from 1 to 9. These 4 scores make up your final band score. Your final band score is also between 1 and 9, with 9 being the highest.
8 – What if I fail the IELTS?
You cannot fail the IELTS exam. You only need a high enough score to help you reach your goals. Some places want a 6 or 7 band score. Others want an 8 or 9.
