Leisure time and the arts are common topics on the IELTS writing exam. However, some people feel nervous when writing about these topics. To do well on questions about the arts & sports, you must practice and use related vocabulary words.

Here are some example essay topics to help you practice and prepare.

Vocabulary is important to get a high score. For this reason, try to use some of the vocabulary words listed under each question, when you practice your essay.

1. Leisure Time

Some people believe that young people today make good use of their leisure time. Others argue that young people spend too much time on things like television, mobile phones and social networking sites.
