Delta Police Report: Two Suspected Robbers Killed, Kidnap Victim Rescued

In the Ughelli South area of Delta State, the Delta State Police Command has announced the rescue of a kidnap victim and the killing of two suspected robbers and kidnappers.

According to the Command’s spokesman, DSP Bright Edafe, this success was achieved through an intelligence-driven operation led by the Ekpan Divisional Police Officer, CSP Aliyu Shaba.

The Delta State Commissioner of Police, Wale Abass, expressed deep appreciation to the people of Delta State for their cooperation and compliance with the law during the festive season.

As part of the operation directed by the Commissioner of Police, a kidnapped victim was successfully rescued, and the victim’s vehicle, as well as three firearms (two single barrel and one double barrel guns), with two expended cartridges, were recovered.

On the evening of 30/12/2023, a 23-year-old male parked his Black-colored GLK 350 Benz SUV along Jakpa Road and left his brother inside the vehicle. The vehicle was then attacked by three armed men, who took the vehicle with the brother inside and drove off to an unknown destination.

Edafe mentioned that the Delta State Police Commissioner, CP Wale Abass, commended the Command’s officers and men for their tireless efforts in ensuring security in 2023. Additionally, he called for continued determination in the fight against crime and criminality in 2024.
