Remi Surutu mourns daughter’s passing

It should be recalled that Remi Surutu lost her daughter, Ayomikun, on the 2nd of July 2017, to the grips of death.

Actor Yomi Fabiyi broke the sorrowful news on social media, revealing the heartbreaking condition of Remi Surutu.

He wrote:” Rest in Peace AYO. May God grant your mother, @therealremisurutu, the strength to bear this loss. She did everything she could, omg! Aunty Remi, please find solace. Seeing your lifeless body now caused me more pain, and it is because I value the friendship we shared. Journey well. I am deeply pained.”

How God returned my late daughter to me — Remi Surutu

A few years back, after the birth of her granddaughter, Remi Surutu revealed how God compensated her for the loss of her deceased child.

In an interview with Saturday Beats, Surutu expressed her delight that her late daughter has returned to her through her granddaughter.

She noticed the striking resemblance her granddaughter shares with her deceased daughter.

For the now-grandmother, there is no more sorrow as God has made up for her loss.

She said, “Words cannot adequately describe the joy I am experiencing. I am now a grandmother. My second and only surviving daughter gave birth to a baby girl last Thursday. I believe my late daughter (firstborn) has returned to me. There is no more weeping for me. The baby is a spitting image of my late daughter. The emptiness of these past years has vanished, and I feel so fulfilled. I never imagined I would become a grandmother this soon. My daughter is focused on her career, not particularly focused on marriage. So, when things started falling into place, it came as a surprise. I believe God ‘spoke to her’ on my behalf. As a matter of fact, my daughter and her spouse told me they were not ready for a child. The only event we had was the introduction— a formal way of introducing both families to one another. We had planned their wedding for December.”
