St.Louis rapper, Huey shot and killed at 31
The music industry mourns the loss of American rapper, Huey. Known for his hit single “Pop Lock & Drop It”, the St. Louis rapper was tragically shot and killed on Thursday night at the age of 31.
The incident took place just before 11:00 p.m. in front of a residence in the 8100 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard near Mable Avenue in his hometown of Kinloch.

Reports indicate that the rapper, born Lawrence Franks, was brought to a local hospital with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Authorities mentioned that another individual from the scene of the shooting sought help at the Ferguson Police Department after sustaining a gunshot wound. He received medical treatment and is expected to recover.

Huey, survived by his 13-year-old daughter, was signed to Jive Records and released his debut album Notebook Paper in 2007.
