Fans initially became aware of the health scare when Foxx’s daughter Corinne posted a serious update on social media earlier this month.
“We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” the 29-year-old actress wrote. “Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.”
“We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time,” she concluded.
Sources confirmed to TMZ at the time that Foxx’s condition had required hospitalization due to its seriousness.
Details have been limited, and it remains unclear what symptoms the comedian had been experiencing.
