AFCON 2023: Peseiro coy on Super Eagles first-choice goalkeeper

Head coach of the Super Eagles, Jose Peseiro, is maintaining secrecy regarding his choice for the first-choice goalkeeper for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Peseiro reinforced the department by including Chippa United goalkeeper Stanley Nwabili in his squad for the AFCON.

Other goalkeepers in the team include Francis Uzoho and Olorunleke Ojo, all of whom participated in the team’s friendlies against Al Gharib and Guinea.

Speaking to NFF TV, Peseiro stated, “Stanley played, I can’t say for anyone who the first 11 are, I will decide against Equatorial Guinea.” The Super Eagles will face Equatorial Guinea in their opening game on Sunday.
