Towanda Chloe Braxton, an American singer, actress, and reality television star, gained fame through her involvement in the former family band “The Braxtons” and their reality TV show “Braxton Family Values.”

Braxton and her four siblings, Toni, Michael Conrad Jr., Traci Renee, Trina, and Tamar, grew up in Severn, Maryland, where they developed a passion for singing. Although the five sisters no longer perform as a group, Toni still involves her siblings in her major concert tours and appearances as backup singers.
In 1993, the remaining Braxton sisters joined LaFace Records before moving to Atlantic Records with L.A. Reid. However, in 1995, Traci departed from the group, leaving Tamar, Trina, and Towanda behind. The trio then released their album “So Many Ways” in 1996, which featured their first single of the same title.

The album achieved success on the R&B and Hip-Hop album charts, which elevated the group’s fame and net worth. Riding on the album’s triumph, they released another hit single, “Only Love.” Towanda, Trina, and Tamar once again joined their sister Toni as an opening act for her 1997 tour.
In 1998, The Braxtons went their separate ways to pursue individual careers. Towanda later appeared in the second season of the reality show “Starting Over.”
After focusing on their respective careers, the sisters reunited in 2011 to star in their own reality show, “Braxton Family Values.” Currently in its fifth season, the show has once again placed the Braxtons in the spotlight. Turning to her personal life, Towanda married author Andre Carter in 2003, and the couple has two children, Braxton and Brooke. However, in 2014, they were reportedly “legally separated,” and Towanda was later seen with former NFL player Kordell Stewart.
