Divine intervention only way to end insecurity in Zamfara – Sen Yari

Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, the former Governor of Zamfara State, emphasized that divine intervention is the only remedy for the rampant banditry in the state. Speaking at his residence in Talata Mafara, the current Senator representing Zamfara West Senatorial Zone, highlighted the deviation of residents from the divine and holy messages contained in the Qur’an and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad. These messages stress the absolute need for brotherhood and selflessness.

Yari lamented the prevalence of ungodly behavior in society, illustrating the lack of empathy and compassion towards families, neighbors, employers, and different leaders. He emphasized that by abandoning wickedness and other religiously prohibited attitudes, people can alleviate the suffering and punishments currently experienced in the state and nation.

The Senator expressed disappointment in the government’s failed attempts to address banditry through force or dialogue. As a result, the situation has severely disrupted legitimate businesses, farming, trading, and other livelihoods. He attributed the harsh living conditions to the lack of focus on agriculture.
