EPL: Ten Hag falls out with another Manchester United star

The relationship between Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag and defender Raphael Varane has reportedly deteriorated following a candid exchange between the two. This came after Ten Hag chose to leave Varane out of the Manchester derby. Despite an injury to Lisandro Martinez, Varane has lost his regular starting spot under Ten Hag, who favors playing Jonny Evans. Varane, who had expected to start the Manchester derby, was benched in favor of Evans, leading to a confrontation with Ten Hag. The former France international expressed his displeasure to the manager. Since the derby, Varane has only made three substitute appearances, even when Evans was injured. As a result, there have been rumors linking Varane with a potential transfer move to Bayern Munich in January. Varane joined Manchester United from Real Madrid in 2021. Additionally, Ten Hag had also fallen out with Jadon Sancho, who is now reportedly set to leave the club next year.
