Cardi B cleared in mic-throwing battery investigation
The mic-throwing incident involving American rapper Cardi B last month led to a criminal battery charge, which has now been dropped.
During a performance at Drai’s Beachclub, Cardi B requested the crowd to cool her down in the heat. When someone threw a cup with an unknown liquid and ice, she threw the mic at the person. It hit another individual, who subsequently filed a police report.
Cardi was initially considered a battery suspect, but the case has now been closed as the authorities concluded that she did not commit a criminal offense.
Cardi’s lawyers, Drew Findling, David Chesnoff, and Richard Schonfeld, confirmed the news, stating, “This afternoon we were notified by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept., that as a result of their investigation, there will be NO charges against Cardi. On behalf of Cardi, we appreciate the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept’s diligent and prompt resolution of this matter.”
